Let’s be honest. The allure of a week’s stay in Ocean City is made of equal parts sun, sand, and sensational food. For those of you visiting the shore this weekend, you’re in luck! Friday, June 8th marks the start of Restaurant Week—when all your favorite O.C. eateries come together to spoil guests with great meals at really great prices. While many restaurants on the island are running specials worth checking out, we've compiled a list of the very best deals you just can't miss out on.
Positively 4th Street: Two egg paninis and two coffees for $18. These incredible whole-food breakfast sandwiches are hearty, healthy, and always hit the spot. We highly recommend the Patatas Bravas, with extra Sriracha mayo on the side.
Arlene’s on Asbury: Daily omelette specials with coffee for $7.95. A simple yet satisfying breakfast special to start your day off right. Plus, we can vouch for Arlene’s quality cooking and family-like service.
Varsity Inn: AAL&T Grilled Cheese (avocado, asparagus, lettuce, tomato, and Cooper cheese) served with a cup of Famous Baked Jersey Tomato Soup for $9.99. Honestly, the soup alone is enough to reel you in—that delicious-sounding sandwich is just a huge bonus.
Clancy’s By the Sea: Two sandwiches or wraps for $15.97. Highlights include: the Clancy Reuben prepared with roasted turkey, Havarti cheese, and apple coleslaw on grilled rye; roast beef au jus made with thinly sliced house roasted sirloin and served with a side of horseradish sauce; and fresh fried fluke fish tacos.
Adelene at the Port-o-Call Hotel: Lunch for 2! Two 8oz burgers with bacon, lettuce, tomato, red onion, sliced avocado, and crumbled bleu cheese for $18. Avocado and bleu cheese add a fresh twist to a lunchtime classic.
Jon and Patty’s: Complete dinner for $22, which includes your choice of soup, salad and entree. The homemade crab cake meal (on RW menu) is always a winner at this spot. Personally, we’ll be there to try the Sunset Shrimp Plate—five wild caught shrimp sauteed and served in a mango drizzle and a tart raspberry splash with rice and vegetables.
Luigi’s: Three course meal for $24, featuring your choice of soup or salad, an entree, and a dessert. This newly-renovated restaurant has equally revamped recipes for gnocchi in rosa sauce, spiralized squash in pomodoro sauce, pappardelle in bolognese sauce, and chicken parm with choice pasta—all RW options.
Fusion Plate: Complete dinner for two at $38 is an offer that can't be beat, considering the variety of tastes and top-notch recipes presented at this Asian cuisine restaurant. This RW menu includes two appetizers, two entrees, and two desserts. Their signature dish, the Fusion Plate Pho, is on the list of entree choices, as well as beef or chicken lo mein, golden chicken (sweet and sour), and vegetarian stir fry.
Mike’s Seafood: Possibly topping the list for best deal is Mike’s 1 ¼ lb steamed lobster, split, cracked, and cleaned, served with an ear of corn, baby red potatoes, and coleslaw for just $15.99. At this price—and knowing the consistent quality of this seafood shop—you’ll be eating here more than once next week.
Johnny B Goode: Two specialty waffle sundaes for $9.99 or two 16 oz fresh fruit smoothies for $7.99. With two locations (14th and 34th street) you have an excuse to stop by twice a day! We won’t tell…
